In Shape Athletic Club Trainer Tip

Add some variety to your workout by trying something new this year. It is important to challenge both your body and your mind by engaging in different activities. This doesn’t mean you have to start from scratch, just mix things up a bit. Many people use the treadmills, stair steppers, and elliptical trainers, all of which are great exercise, but there is no lateral movement or challenge to the brain. Fitness classes are a fun way to learn some new movements, challenge the brain with changing body directions, and strengthen your cardiovascular system with interval training. They are also a great way to socialize and meet people, many of whom will encourage you to continue coming to class! If you are new to a class, be patient with yourself and work to your ability, not someone else’s.
