IN SHAPE ATHLETIC CLUB TRAINER TIP

by Dareck Cordell, Certified Personal Trainer
It seems to be fairly common to neglect core specific exercises during a regular exercise routine. It can also be a practice to work the abdominal muscles at the end of a workout, which can be lacking in any kind of real muscle exertion. One way to avoid skipping the benefits of a strong core is to incorporate abdominal exercises throughout your entire workout. It is not necessary to complicate this addition by performing a bunch of different movements, just keep it simple and use some common exercises like sit-ups, crunches, and alternating heel-touch crunches. These ab exercises can be added to any exercise program, and can be done in-between every set to really make a difference in how you are strengthening your core.
