IN SHAPE ATHLETIC CLUB TRAINER TIP
by Dareck Cordell, Certified Personal Trainer
Legs are important muscles to work out in a weight lifting routine. Not only is it important to work legs, but it is good to work them hard. The large muscles can take the hard exercises we put them through, and in some cases even more. It doesn’t matter if you are exercising legs with other muscle groups or if they are being worked on a separate day, this additional exercise can be used. After you have completed the routine of choice, just simply get on an exercise bike and crank up the resistance. Once you are set to the highest tolerable setting, go 100% for up to five minutes. Although the duration is fairly short, it should feel very difficult and will push your legs to another level of exertion.
